What sets a prophet apart...

What a prophet is and what a prophet does, has been so terribly misunderstood out there. So many think the prophet is the one delivering the powerful word from the Lord on Sunday.

Others think he is the one who walks in all this miraculous power, and by their sheer appearance, people fall under the power.

When you hear the word prophet, you tend to think of someone who is close to God and really powerful.

Whereas the power of God surely is visible in someone who operates in prophetic ministry, that's not the core of prophetic ministry. It's really not what sets the prophet apart.

What sets the prophet apart is the love in their heart for the Lord and for the Church. The prophet is the one who travails for the hearts of God's people. When they see someone broken hearted, they want to jump in and bring healing.

When they see someone captive, they want to take the healing balm and set them free. The prophet feels the heart of Christ for the Church and therefore, desires to bring change!

I saw this afresh again last Saturday in our Prophetic School class. We discussed the topic of music and how powerfully the Lord uses His prophets in this realm.

<#EmailName>, if you have a prophetic calling - remember, it's all about the heart God has given you. You cannot stand up and bring change in your own strength. You cannot strive and try to do all these things. Just stand in weakness. Stand in the passionate love you have for the Lord, and allow that to flow through you.

This week, focus on the heart of Christ afresh. Then, as He transforms and shapes you into His image, make it a point to spread that love everywhere you go!

If you are someone who feels a clear stirring in your heart as you read this, don't be shy. Give us a call, send us an email. We would love to assist you in your call and see where God wants to take you next.

For now, know that we are thinking of you, and that it's time that the passionate love of Christ heals the broken hearts.

In His Love,
