I'm Calling Out to You - God's Word for you Today
by Apostle Colette Toach
"My child, you do not need to search for me, for it is I that seeks you out. If you would only stop running, you would see that I pursue you. For you do not need to struggle and try to be righteous to be worthy enough of my blessings - for my blood paid for your blessings and your very life, so many years ago.
Yet so many in my church struggle and try to find me, not realizing that I am already found. They perform and try to reach me, not realizing that they already have me. I am not found in the thunder or in the manifestations, but I am found in the first breath of a newborn baby. I am found in the sweet fragrance of the rose and in the gentle ocean breeze that gives the land relief from the heat.
My nature is love and my voice is tender. My touch drips with oil and my words are filled with honey. For I desire nothing more than to reach in and bring the fire inside of you to life. I do not desire to crush you or break you down. I do not desire to punish you or cause you to suffer. No my child, I wish you take you into my arms and to express my love to you.
I desire to point out the things in you that please my heart. Like a tender mother, I desire to nurture you and like a strong father, I desire to impart a new skill to you. For what use is a vessel that is broken into pieces? How can it contain the oil and wine that it needs to carry? I did not come to break you, but to heal you. I did not come to smash you, but to fill you up. I have not come to reveal your weakness, but rather to shine my strength through it.
This is my nature. This is my desire for you. When you come to my arms and let go of your fears and performance, I will ignite the fire in your heart once again. You will feel me from deep within and you will feel me from without. You will not experience me just once or twice, but you will walk in me and I will walk in you! Can't you see that I am doing a new thing?
For the Israelites knew the God that parted the waters. They trembled at Mt Sinai and feared to come near my presence. My child, I died so that the veil could be torn between the two of us. So that you would not need to tremble in my presence, but could run to me as a little child crying, “Abba Father.” It is here that you will discover yourself. It is here that you will discover your worth and it is here that you will walk out your calling - not from a perspective of obligation, but of love.
So come and let me reveal my face to you in a way you have never seen it. Let go of your striving. Let go of your trying and simply fall into my loving arms says the Lord. Amen"
